100 Resilient cities
Assigment
The Rockefeller Foundation of New York needed a local partner to develop and organise the Urban Resilience Summit 2019 in Rotterdam, a creative and logistical challenge covering three days and 14 different locations. We stepped up to the challenge to help 500 policymakers from cities around the world share their ideas and innovations about climate change and resilient cities.
Result
‘Best summit ever’ was the unanimous response of the Rockefeller Foundation and all those in attendance. They look back on a perfectly organised summit in which they were both surprised and challenged to look to the future of urban resilience from a whole new perspective. A magnificent stage, round seating layout, intimate networking spots, water taxis, a message wall and unique locations like the Submarine Wharf and Laurens Church are only a few aspects of the setup that enabled ideas and connections to gain momentum.
