Assignment

DELTA Fiber is one of the fastest-growing telecom providers in the Netherlands, reaching 1.7 million households and employing around 1,600 people. Everything DELTA does is driven by a sense of pride – pride in the brand, in the organisation, and in each other. To reinforce this culture of brand pride, DELTA asked us to organise an inspiring internal event for all colleagues. The goal was to realign and strengthen DELTA's brand and strategic position, with a clear outlook for the healthy growth they envision.

Result

Obsession supported DELTA through multiple sessions with speakers to shape a clear strategy update, with actionable takeaways for everyone in the room. On 13 May 2024, 1,200 employees gathered in the grand hall of De Doelen in Rotterdam to launch DELTA’s future vision. Event branding was bold, with banners, balloons, 3D logos, and even a Volkswagen ID Buzz from DELTA’s own fleet on display. CEO Marco Visser opened the programme with an address on strategic focus and ambition, setting the stage for the day. DELTA’s brand icons, Daan, Donnie, and Dirk, also contributed to the plenary session with a comedic sketch. Event moderator Annemarie Bruning did an excellent job keeping the full programme on track.
To ensure full engagement, even for customer service staff who couldn’t attend due to their essential roles, the event was professionally filmed. A dynamic and high-quality recording, complete with a rail-mounted camera, was directed by JW Schram, allowing customer service teams to experience the day’s highlights. The event concluded with a light-hearted performance by De Speld LIVE, followed by a reception featuring music and a photobooth, which encouraged staff to stay well past the official end, even on a Monday afternoon.
